Text: Elisabeth Richardsson

Welcome to a place where the pace slows down and experiences take center stage. Bräcke is the perfect destination for those looking to combine gastronomic gems with the natural power of Jämtland.

Summer in Bräcke Destination

Start your stay with a visit to the classic Glassbaren in Bräcke. Here, you can enjoy award-winning ice cream in an environment that radiates summer vacation vibes. For food enthusiasts, a unique dining experience awaits at Revsunds Brewery, where dishes are served featuring their own craft beer—not just in the glass, but as a subtle and characterful seasoning in the cooking. Don’t miss a visit to Osterian i Jämtland, where you can learn about the craftsmanship behind local cheeses and buy delicacies to take home.

Experience the breath of history with a trip on sparkling waters aboard the Steamship Alma af Stafre, one of Sweden’s oldest operating steamboats. For a dose of nostalgia, visit Brattbytorpet, a place whose collections take you on a journey back in time. Forsaleden offers magical hiking along rushing waters and natural lagoons. For the adventurous, there is the mystery of Hålbergsgrottan—an experience made even better with a headlamp and a sense of discovery.

As evening falls, a personal and warm welcome awaits at one of Bräcke’s accommodations, such as Jämtkrogen. For those seeking a more active base, several establishments offer lodging and activity programs, such as Hus Hotell Hunge, with outdoor programs designed to recharge your energy. Or try the personally decorated cabins at Hugsnäset.
