Bydalsfjällen – No stress and no queues

Bydalsfjällen is, in terms of the number of slopes, Sweden’s fifth largest ski area with a total of 55 slopes and 16 lifts in varied terrain. It is a snow-safe area with slopes of all difficulty levels, where most are red. There are excellent skiing opportunities for both experienced and novice skiers. The vertical drop is 420 meters. Bydalsfjällen is known for great carving and a very cozy atmosphere.

In Bydalsfjällen, you can comfortably stay in cabins and apartments near the lifts. There are several restaurants serving both lunch and dinner. Bydalen offers 65 km of cross-country ski trails. It is a quiet ski resort where you get a lot for your money and plenty of space on the slopes, perfect for a ski holiday for the ski-loving family looking for a ski trip in Sweden.

Transport

  • Air: Fly from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Åre Östersund Airport, which is 75 km from Bydalsfjällen by bus, taxi or rental car. SAS has direct flights during winter from Copenhagen Denmark to Åre/Östersund Airport.
  • Car: 450 km from Umeå, 570 km from Stockholm, 780 km from Gothenburg, and 1 000 km from Malmö. Rental car firms in Jämtland Härjedalen.
  • By train: With SJNorrtåg or Snälltåget to Östersund Railway station. Rental cars from Östersund to Bydalsfjällen can be booked, and there is also public transportation available to Bydalen.
