Traveling by plane

Traveling by plane to Jämtland Härjedalen saves you time and you have many options of where and when to fly to. There are no less than four airports in close connection; two within Sweden and two on the other side of the boarder, in Norway. With many domestic flights that connects from Stockholm as well as a large amount of daily international planes coming in to Trondheim Vaernes Airport, it is easy to reach Jämtland Härjedalen.

Åre Östersund Airport

News for winter 2017/2018 is a new direct ski route with easyJet from Kastrup Airport in Denmark to Åre Östersund Airport, operating once a week on Saturdays. The route commence December 16, last return is in the end of March.

There is also a direct ski route with easyJet from London Gatwick Airport to Åre Östersund Airport, operating once a week on Sundays. The route commence December 11, last return is in April.

The flight from Stockholm to Åre Östersund Airport takes around 50 minutes. Central Östersund is reached by airport coaches or cabs in approximately 15 minutes. During winter season (Dec-May) there is a transfer to Åre in connection to all regular flights, only pre-booked trips.

Härjedalen Sveg Airport

Härjedalen Sveg Airport is no more than two hours away from Swedens best ski resorts, wilderness and great adventures. The transfer to central Sveg takes only 5 min with an airport cab.

Trondheim Vaernes Aiport

Trondheim Vaernes Airport is an excellent choice if you are going to the northern or central parts of Jämtland Härjedalen. During winter season (Dec-May) there is a transfer to Åre in connection to selected flights, only pre-booked trips.

Röros Airport

Röros Airport is close to ski slopes and the mountains. In less than an hour of transfer you reach Funäsfjällen.
