By Storsjön, Sweden’s fifth-largest lake, lies Östersund—one of the few cities offering both mountain views and outdoor adventures right on its doorstep. The Great Lake Monster (Storsjöodjuret) is the myth that ties the Storsjö region together, surrounded by vibrant cultural landscapes and historical sights.
