Vemdalen

A mountain world for every season

Vemdalen is a vibrant destination all year round, stretching from Åsarna and the charming village of Klövsjö to Storhogna in Berg Municipality, and onward to Vemdalsskalet, Björnrike, and Hede with Sonfjället National Park in Härjedalen. Vemdalen is synonymous with true mountain joy and offers one of Sweden’s strongest ski experiences, with 62 slopes and an early, snow-reliable start to the season—often already in November.

When the snow melts, summer adventures take over with hiking, golf, cycling, fishing, and horseback riding in a rolling reindeer-grazing landscape. Here you’ll find a unique combination of modern services and genuine mountain nature, where inspiration and assistance are always close at hand from the hosts at the authorized tourist information center at Vemdalsskalet Square.

Getting here is easy by car, bus, or train to Rätan, or by air to Sveg or Åre Östersund Airport with onward transfer.

Visit Vemdalen – where every season creates memories for a lifetime.
